Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is one of several irreversable illnesses. AD effects almost 5 million Americans. That's a lot of grandma's, grandpa's, aunts and uncles. We must not let this disease take away the opportunity for them to continue having a warm relationship with their grandchildren, nieces and nephews. This book is based on visits I have made to elementary schools talking to children about memory loss and aging. They have been great listeners and many have written thank you letters showing that they understand what we talked about .Parents have relayed stories of how their children did not want to visit a memory impaired relative. Now that they understand why their grandparent can not remember their names, the children are now regular visitors.

Children like to be helpers and the Grandma Joyce visits at school and this book will show them how to do just that, be helpers.

If I can ever be a "helper" to you, please contact me.

Thank you,
Joyce Simard MSW
